The photos were created throughout the Pacific Northwest and in other parts of the United States and Canada. Most are from locations in Washington, Oregon, and northern California. Every plant pictured is identified by Latin and common name. Powerful search tools make it easy to find just the photograph or species you want, whether it's a native plant or an introduced weed. High resolution digital files are available for reproduction upon agreement to a license and payment. Mark is the photographer and co-author of three books: the award-winning field guide, Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest (with Phyllis Gustafson), Trees & Shrubs of the Pacific Northwest (with Ellen Kuhlmann), and the award-winning Weeds of the Pacific Northwest (with Sami Gray). Mark is a full-time photographer specializing in native and garden plants and is a self-trained botanist.
